Thank you to the community members who reported login issues, which lasted from approximately 10PM PT Aug 31 - 1PM PT Sept 1. We were able to resolve the authentication issue, which prevented all logins and signups, while still displaying the read-only site.
The dev team is working to better understand the cause of the authentication outage and ensure it doesn’t happen in the future. We’re also looking for ways to quickly set up site-wide banners to notify users of forum issues should something similar happen in the future.
